SPECIMEN APPLES- Unique character
Limited quantities of mature picking apples have become available to us and they are beauties! Calipers range from 3-8"! These are at a northwest Oregon orchard and the fruit has occasionally been harvested by local cider companies. Very tasty!

Most of these have unique, slightly slanted trunks giving each its own individual, yet similar, appearance.

Some, like the Spartan, have smaller straighter trunks.

Below is a 'Before & After' set of photos. The 'After' shows a tree that has been pruned, lightly shaped/thinned and had most of the watersprouts removed.
