Acer p. 'Bloodgood'
Acer p. 'Bloodgood' is arguably the most popular and reliable red Japanese Maple. We are well stocked with an excellent selection ranging in size from 8'-14' multi-stem to 5"-7"+ caliper specimens. Our Bloodgoods have been hand selected for superior structure and character. They have all been hand dug and transplanted (root pruned) at least once.




Quercus dentata ‘Pinnatifida’
The cut-leaf form of the Japanese Emperor Oak makes an unusual specimen for the garden. An exceptionally rare and unique oak with foliage that looks fernlike as its leaves are deeply divided into narrow lobes. With time, it develops a dense lacy crown that always turns heads. The tree grows to about 20′ tall and is narrowly upright. Emperor oak is easy to grow in full sun to light shade.

Pinus parviflora ‘Hakko’
Hand selected sculptured white pines are now available. ‘Hakko’ has a dense, upright growth habit with short twisted needles. It does well in full sun exposure in moderate moist, well-drained soil.


Hydrangea an. Petiolaris
Climbing Hydrangea can be used as more than just a vine on walls and fences. We have a selection of mature specimens that Jaycee has pruned into Bonsai specimen trees. We also have them developed into ornamental shrubs or small trees. With some imagination, this versatile plant can be utilized in a variety of creative applications. Its white flowers, rich green foliage, striking exfoliating bark, and shrub-like growth create all season interest. In autumn it displays butter yellow foliage, which eventually drops to expose the interesting, peeling bark. Hardy to Zone 4 and can be grown in full shade.

Clethra barbinervis
Not commonly available, this upright deciduous small tree that grows 10’ to 20’ tall with a spread of 10’ to 15.’ Mid to late summer brings fragrant white flowers that attract butterflies. Dark green leaves turn bright yellow and sometimes red in autumn. Flowers produces spikes of dark brown seed capsules that persist into winter providing year round interest. The showy bark of Clethra is an exquisitely mottled exfoliating grey and cinnamon brown. Hardy to Zone 5.

Cotinus cogg. ‘Golden Spirit’ TREE FORM
Spectacular foliage emerges lime green and matures to brilliant gold and then coral, orange and red in fall. Smoke-like plumes of whitish-pink flowers add interest. Long-lasting summer smoke display makes this a striking accent plant. Also may be used as an informal hedge or screen (a smoke screen, as it were!)



Carpinus coreana – Korean Hornbeam
The Korean Hornbeam is a small, handsome, slow-growing tree. Rare in the wholesale nursery trade, this species deserves wider use as a small specimen tree, eventually reaching 25ft in an upright-spreading shape. The real treat is in the fall when the leaves turn red, yellow and orange, not diffusely but in stripes.



Acer shirasawanum ‘Aureum’
We have acquired a new allotment of this sought after maple in sizes from 4/5’ up to tree form that are around 10’ tall with a nearly 3” caliper single trunk. The full moon maple is a popular yellow-leaved Japanese maple that is small and slow growing, but can mature to as tall and wide as 16 to 20 feet. Leaves emerge as a showy bright yellow and gradually darkens to yellow-green by summer. Fall brings shades of orange-red, sometimes tinged with purple. Reddish purple spring flowers give way to red samaras that contrast with the yellow-green leaves. Hardy in zones 5 to 7



Acer palmatum ‘Shindeshojo’
Shindeshojo is the most brilliant producer of red spring foliage that can persist for a month or longer into spring. Emerging leaves are a flaming scarlet red, fading to reddish green and green by summer; autumn leaves are shades of red and orange. The bark of young stems is reddish brown and small attractive reddish flowers appear in the spring, but are not showy. Small and slow growing, it matures into an upright rounded shrub 7 to 10 feet tall and wide and does well in zones 5 to 9.
Araucaria araucana (Monkey Puzzle Tree)
Unlike any evergreen in North America, the Chilian pine, commonly called the monkey puzzle tree, is a rare and endangered conifer native to Chile and is hardy to USDA zones 7-10. Providing year-round interest, it has a loose pyramidal shape when young but develops an umbrella-like crown with the loss of lower branches as the tree ages. Thick, leathery scale leaves completely cover rope-like branches and are stiff, dark green and glossy with a spiny tip. Bark is gray-brown and ridged. A. araucana is a slow grower that can eventually reach heights up to 100 feet with a canopy 50 feet wide.
Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Baldsmith’
We have a great selection of ‘Baldsmith’, including one very mature specimen with excellent character. It is a cascading laceleaf with finely cut leaves that changes color with each season. New growth emerges deep red and orange and changes to mostly green while retaining red margins giving a distinct bi-color appearance. By summer leaves fade to all green before autumn sets in a range of colors from yellow to red to orange. A slow grower that reaches heights of 6 to 10 feet and is hardy to Zone 6.
